NIJ IV products:
These articles are considered to be NIJ Level IV armor and fall under the jurisdiction of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as United State Munition List (USML) Category X(a)(1) items. Exports of these NIJ Level IV articles require approval from the US Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
NIJ III – Hard Armor Plates:
These articles are considered to be NIJ Level III armor and are all under the jurisdiction of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) as Export Commodity Classification Number (ECCN) 1A613. Exports of these NIJ Level III articles require approval from the US Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security.
NIJ IIIA and below – Soft Body Armor:
These articles are considered to be NIJ Level IIIA products and are all under the jurisdiction of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) as Export Commodity Classification Number (ECCN) 1A005. Exports of these NIJ Level III articles may require approval from the US Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, depending upon the country of export.
-With the purchase of any body armor, you understand that body armor is not bulletproof, but bullet-resistant. NIJ standards and V50 testing are done to help ensure that a bullet will be stopped according to a specified level. This does not mean that it will prevent 100% of bullet penetration or that the impact will not cause other injuries, even if the bullet is stopped.
Body armor is good for protection, but there needs to be an understanding that if a bullet strikes you there is always a risk for injury, even if the impact is absorbed by the vest, defeating the bullet before it penetrates a person’s body.
-We assume no liability for use or misuse of any product sold. Goods sold shall be fit for any particular purpose based by the manufacturer.
-We are not liable to replace or repair any goods that were damaged by misuse or failure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines. Our liability is only limited to repairing or replacing goods that are defective per manufacturer error and not by improper use of the goods sold.
